How long have you been in business?

10 years

What exactly do you do?

I provide system and data security, peace of mind that our clients most valuable asset (data) is protected and recoverable within 48 hours should a disaster occur.

How long have you been in Austin?

Since 1985. I transferred to Austin with TxDOT, and retired in 1996 after 31 years building and designing highways.  I started my career in Dalhart, later transferring to Lubbock to pursue an engineering degree at Texas Tech University, (before coming to Austin).

Does your business offer any unique products or services?

We offer IT Managed Services packages customized for the clients needs. We have state of the art data backups that no one else offers.

Do you have a website?

Yes! http://northaustin.cmitsolutions.com

If you could give advice to those just starting out in their careers, what would you say?

Work hard and have good customer relationships.

What is the best advice you've ever received?

Be a person who loves God, Family, Others and in that order.

If you could give advice to those just starting out in their careers, what would you say?

Learn what you're good at and make it into your core competency. Then do it better than anyone else!

If you didn't have this job, what would you be doing instead?

Probably working for someone else.

Anything else?

When I’m not doing this business, I call square dancing in the Austin area as well as many other places.
